AI has been around since about 70 years so far. Why is it booming right now?
This is due to the improvements in technology, the availability of large data, enhanced algorithms, and the potential for transformational applications in numerous industries. The main source is increased computing power.
Can you name at least three application sectors where robots are being largely employed? What are the reasons?
Medicine- the medical industry needs considerable precision and accuracy, machines are less prone to human mistakes.
Space Exploration- Many activities in space are extremely perilous for astronauts to undertake. Robots are an excellent alternative in these scenarios since there is no risk of human life being lost.
Defense- minimize labor-intensive jobs and reduce the danger of threats, injuries, accidents, and death.
Can you identify three major challenges for a wheeled autonomous robot performing a 24h surveillance task in a large facility? (e.g., something like Mall of Qatar)
